¿who is?

You could say she inherited the craft. From an early age, Ana developed a love for pins, threads, and colorful fabrics. Her grandmother was a seamstress who worked at one of the country’s first Haute Couture houses. Which one doesn’t really matter. What matters is how much Ana admired, and still admires, the garments her grandmother made by hand and that she still keeps in her wardrobe. Ana Juárez is a collector of moments, transforming them into pieces for everyday life that bring together the soul of craftsmanship and contemporary design.

Her story in milestones:

She trained on the island of Tenerife, specialized in Madrid, and completed her studies at the École Supérieure de la Mode in Paris.
She chose to build her career in her homeland, joining the community of Canary Islands designers. And her homeland chose her in return, helping her name gain recognition while she developed the distinctive style seen at several editions of Barcelona’s Pasarela Gaudí and Pasarela del Atlántico in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
She became convinced that her path was about bringing out the essence of each garment and combining it with the personality of her clients, who increasingly sought individuality and exclusivity. She chose quality over quantity and continued working from her studio, developing increasingly personalized patterns.
A curious fact: two of her designs, selected by Mattel to commemorate Barbie’s 50th anniversary, are exhibited at the Museo del Textil in Madrid.

But she never played with Barbies. She has always challenged stereotypes.

In 2012, she began shaping a new universe. This time, she introduced mefaldastú to the world: a small universe where skirts and their accessories take center stage. MULTI-SIZE, GENDERLESS, FOR EVERYONE, designed to be worn in different ways. She continues her constant search for new forms of creation, experimenting with new cuts, fabrics, and silhouettes. She also works as an image consultant and teaches ecodesign and textile upcycling. While low-cost fashion moves at the pace of each new season, her slow-fashion designs are more like a symphony of handcrafted patterns, masterful cuts, and clean lines, shaped by ingenuity and creativity.
